Mercer Canada is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Toronto or Montreal office.
Website Specialist
The Website Specialist will play a critical role on the Canada marketing team with a focus on providing content updates and web analytics for the business. The post holder will ensure web compliance and SEO standards are met in Canada. This role will also serve as a web advisor and expert to the Canada marketing team, and reports to Mercer’s Global Digital Marketing Leader, Canada.

- You can expect to be working on projects that have a critical role to play in promoting all Mercer Canada solutions online.
- The post holder will be expected to manage the day-to-day operations of the Mercer Canada website, which includes SEO management, web page updates and ensuring compliance standards are met on the website.
- The website specialist will be joining a well-established team of dedicated marketing professionals that are available to support whenever needed.
- In the first 30/60/90 days the website specialist will be expected to learn the current processes in fulfilling website requests, build relationships and start delivering against the KPIs that are set.

We will count on you to:
- Provide web content management for company websites to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and meets branding standards
- Establish complex improvement initiatives (ranking, bounce rate, time on site, etc.) and proposes them to colleagues during digital performance discussions
- Use SEO tools (Site Improve, Conductor, Ahrefs, Google Search Console and Webmaster tool) to evaluate web pages, audit our site, and perform competitive analysis to uncover actionable insights for our channel
- Establish complex improvement initiatives (ranking, bounce rate, time on site, etc.) and proposes them to colleagues during digital performance discussions
- Compile and present web performance reports from various reporting platforms such as: Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
- Implement the user experience design effort for a variety of web applications
- Implement basic or routine design and content writing tasks assigned by colleagues to improve and expand the company's digital marketing efforts
- Ideate and brainstorm with various teams to help create the best possible experience for users
- Contribute in digital performance discussions to provide ideas for improvement (ranking, bounce rate, time on site, etc.) for specific pages or sections of the site
- Communicate with senior colleagues and managers after finishing work assignments to have deliverables reviewed and proofed.
- Ensure both English and French sites are maintained in a manner that meet regulatory compliance standards
- Work with business and vendors on ensuring translations are done in a timely fashion
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Web Development with requisite experience
- 3+ years of website content management experience
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically Adobe Experience Manager
- On-page, Off-page and Technical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge
- Understanding of basic statistics for ROI analysis
- Collaborative – willingness to work in team environment with colleagues around the world
- Independent – ability to generate high quality work on own and set own priorities and timelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time working under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
