Delta Controls Inc. is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our Product Development Team. As a UI/UX Designer with Delta Controls, you will work with development teams to create leading-edge solutions for worldwide use in the Building Controls industry. Your ability to innovate, problem-solve and quickly adapt to change is very important in this role, as you will work on rapidly evolving products in a rapidly evolving industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with customers, product managers and other stakeholders to discover, analyze and document use-cases for products
  • Help create design guidelines, create component libraries, and manage them in Figma
  • Develop and deliver high-level and detailed storyboards, information architecture, workflow diagrams, user interface sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, images and icons, and detailed design specifications
  • Communicate and document design concepts as well as specifications to the development team
  • Create user personas, user scenarios, and develop concept models
  • Participate in the planning and execution of user testing, AB testing, as well as the analysis and reporting of test results during different project phases
  • Support development teams as they deliver products that implement your designs
  • Design for a variety of platforms including cloud/web-based and mobile-interface
  • Participate in software development lifecycle using agile development techniques like daily stand-up, sprint planning, task estimation and development, and sprint reviews and retrospectives
  • Stay current with new UI/UX technologies, designing platforms, and evolving solutions

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of UI/UX design and research experience that includes creating design guidelines and managing design libraries
  • Strong hands-on experience with one or more design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD,
  • Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Miro or equivalent drawing/mapping programs)
  • A current portfolio demonstrating case studies that includes: UX principles, processes, and core skills across a breadth of capabilities including research, information architecture, prototyping, and visual communication
  • Experience with cross-browser and mobile design
  • Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS
  • Ability to work independently, to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities including verbal, written and drawing / visual techniques
  • Self-driven, data-driven, and results oriented
  • Great attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science or other relevant discipline or equivalent education, training, and/or equivalent experience
