QA Automation Analyst

As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Quartech, you will have the opportunity to experience working on different impactful and exciting projects with cross-functional teams developing QA strategies and applying software QA practices and principles throughout the software development life cycle. You will play the important role of defining, developing, maintaining, and implementing test plans for our client’s applications and systems.
In this role, your major responsibilities will be to:
- Design, and execute a variety of test plans and test cases from user stories, use cases, design documents, and other requirements
- Identify test data requirements and verify readiness
- Consult with technical teams to integrate quality improvement processes that supports development of the applications
- Create and track test results, statistics, metrics, status, and report on the outcome of each test cycle
- Conduct functional, system, regression, and integration testing
- Run backend and API testing, using related test tools
- Support development through assessing impacts and risks for software releases
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks where possible using automated test tools (see below)
- Maintain and support Test Tools in large enterprise environment
- Work closely with the development team and Business Analysts to validate test cases based on software requirements
- May assess and provide input related to testing during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions
- Identify and document software defects and usability issues
- Communicate testing issues and implement process improvement
- Support project team members in the analysis of issues and conduct root cause analysis
To be successful in this role, you must bring the following minimum qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Testing or a related discipline
- 3-7 years' experience in application testing and quality control
- Good understanding of QA methodology, testing techniques, and full software development life cycle
- Familiar with build and automation tools as well as programing languages
- Experience with API testing and tools
- Experience in functional testing such as regression, integration, system test plans, blackbox, and UAT
- Superior writing and communication skills, must be able to clearly and accurately communicate issues
- Strong analytical skills to be able to navigate through application and write useful test cases
